Biography
This is just some fill-in-the-gaps information on my portrayal of Merrill.
END OF DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS - PRE DRAGON AGE II
Merrill lived with her clan since she assisted the Grey Wardens in stopping the Blight, due to the Treaties that were signed centuries ago. Her clan moved to the outskirts of Kirkwall. It was around this time Merrill began to dabble in Blood Magic, soon making her as an outcast to the Clan.
She began to have feelings for Carver when she went to travel with his sibling in Kirkwall.
END OF DRAGON AGE: II - PRE-DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION
When the Mage-Templar war struck across all of Thedas, Merrill stopped using Blood Magic as she didn't want to be hunted down by Templars. She began to keep her magic abilities hidden as she wanted to keep a low profile as she travelled across Thedas. During this time, she continued to have feelings for Carver.
DRAGON AGE: INQUISITON - CURRENT TIME
When the Inquisition made it's headquarters at Skyhold, Merrill joined their cause to stop the breach in the sky. That was when she reunited with her longtime crush: Carver. They confessed their feelings for each other, then soon after got married. Merrill got rid of her Vallaslin, as she didn't associate herself with the Clan anymore. Soon after, she would become pregnant with Carver's child.

After the events of Dragon Age 2, Merrill began to mature. She is still socially clueless, but slightly not as much.
Leandra showed her how to deal with douchebag Nobles.
Merrill is uneasy around Templars excluding Carver and Cullen.
Merrill kept in touch with Varric over the years after the ending of Dragon Age 2.
Merrill can be quite hostile towards someone, but only if she has no other choice. She learned that from Leandra.
